About the Wilson Agency
We are an international boutique agency that concentrates on Root, Blues, Folk and Country artists. We are an independent agency that works in affiliation with Live Tour Artists. We believe that when working with musicians “small is better” and it is our goal to stay small. In addition to booking, we offer certain artists management and administrative services. We also, as needed, assist with publicity, media, grant applications and all of the things that will help to make an artist successful.
The Wilson Agency highlights the best aspects of the music business and leaves the posturing and bad vibes for others. We can’t promise unlimited success for everyone but we can promise that we work our hardest to make that happen.
The artists we work with are a combination of established award winning performers and new artists destined to be award winners. Each artist on our roster understands that a successful show means a show works for everybody concerned, but especially for the audiences. It is our goal to make concerts work for the artist and the venue. In the ideal world everybody succeeds whenever an artist performs and we try to make that happen for every show.
Bob Wilson - Bio
Bob Wilson is a Musicians Manager and Agent working with a variety of artists across North America. Bob started his career in music as a manager. He then moved into the agency business working with Live Tour Artists. He works with artists to find bookings and in long term career planning as well as the day to day, month to month development of touring and their careers.
Mr. Wilson has also worked in Communications / Media, Radio and as a Television producer and a journalist. His radio credits include CBC Metro Morning, Radio Noon, Morning North, Dini Petty Radio Show and CBCs National Content Unit. Television credits include CTV’s the Shirley Show, Canada AM and The Dini Petty Show, Life Channel’s MoneySense Television and Michael Coren Live.
Mr. Wilson successfully manages and presents artists across North America. He has extensive Music industry, Media and Communications expertise.
